it’s tuesday night and i was supposed to be shooting public disgrace tonight but we had to cancel. instead i am sitting on my bed and sipping wine out of a broken coffee mug. The mug is white on the outside and orange on the inside. i remember buying it because it was the first coffee mug i ever purchased.

In my parents house there is a cabinet with a bunch of hooks on the top and a bunch of coffee mugs hanging from the hooks. There are all different kinds of mugs in there. some have patterns. one has my name on it. Underneath the mugs the ordinary glasses are standing in rows. Sometimes when I take the dishes out of the dish washer i like to organize the rows by size or shape. i’m a very messy person generally, but when i do put stuff away i want it to be done right. it is probably that obession with doing things the “right” way that sometimes keeps me from doing things at all. like if the glasses are in the cubboard, is there really a “wrong” way for them to be in there?
